On August 18th 2005, long before I chased storms, a tornado ravaged the small community of Pleasant Springs, Wisconsin, a town just 20 minutes away from me, known to many of you as the famous Stoughton tornado. During the days that followed I was able to see 1st hand the power of nature and how it can change lives forever in an instant. I remember thinking to myself at the time "I wish I could do something to help"....Many years later a group of some of the most amazing storm chasers got together and formed a group called Storm Assist and decided to put together a DVD of some of the best footage of 2012 and sell it with all proceeds going to aid victims of severe weather.
